Then it plays, but the resolution is poor even with vids I had ripped from dvd. If anyone can tell me a better way to rip vids in a format that will transfer cystal onto the big screen, I'd appreciate the advice. I bought mine because of the price and I have had no problem with my Ipod 80 Classic. I'm playing with the 4:3 aspect for tighter resolution, but the vids - in mpeg4 format, come out slightly "diglitalized". I rated it 5 stars because it works and the transfer is probably a "user" fault. The jacks did work using the correct color code with my LG widesceen. When you plug in your Ipod, the screen will say "no signal" until you click on a video.
I kinda want my money back, only the company who sold it didn't do anything wrong. I doubt it. Worked fine when I got it with my Ipod Touch 2GThen I updated to the 3.0 firmware.Now there's no video, only audio. 90% of the cable's usefulness is gone.Maybe it'll work again in another update.
The video doesn't work at all on the iPhone 3G.The cable works fine with my daughter's iPod Nano (wide version), but does not work with any iPhone. This does not work with the iPhone 2.5 or the iPhone 3G. It worked on the 2.5 for about 30 seconds and then the video went off the TV and I got an error message on my iPhone screen that this cable was not compatible with the iPhone.
My shipment arrived 3 days after the order was placed. Hooked up the cable and had instant video. I am a happy camper. I read several of the reviews that said this would not work, but for a few dollars I decided to try it anyway. I have a 120GB Ipod Classic 6th gen.
Also, it came with no instructions/directions. I bought this because it was advertised to be compatible with the iTouch. I have an itouch 16 gb, 2nd generation with OS 3.0 and when I plugged it in, a message came up that it not compatible and would not work.
